Here’s the latest from William’s Paris Fashion Week chronicles:

William was thrilled that the team he was a part of got to help work on the Viktor & Rolf show. “It was just an amazing experience,” he told us. “They are geniuses. The way they collaborate in their design and treat it like art—it really becomes something else. They started the show with amazing printed backdrops, and the show we saw on the runway was brilliantly transformational.”

During the show, supermodel Kristen McMenamy stood with all of their designs layered on top of one another on her, and as the other models walked onto the runway, Viktor and Rolf took each layer off of her and placed the clothing on them. It made for quite a spectacle. The presentation was almost as intriguing as the amazing creations.

“The fur, fabrics, colors and shoes were all so glamorous,” said William. “The grand finale was amazing—a piece so strong and yet so delicate at the same time.”

William also had the privilege of helping to style the models for the Givenchy show, featuring the work of designer Riccardo Tisci.

Said William: “Givenchy is one of the most fun shows to do. Tisci is so creative, such an artist. I loved his designs, with their dark, dramatic colors, accented in vibrant red. I was actually speechless. You had to be there to feel it, to really experience it.”

The show’s styles were dramatic and powerful. The colors were a blend of bright and dark. The hair was soft, natural and feminine.

“The hair was very soft, with some texture, and ribbon was wrapped around the models’ necks to create a romantic feel,” William reported to us. “There was a mix of ski-inspired, sporty looks, and high drama. At the same time the styles felt very ‘now’—very fresh. The models all wore bright red lipstick, and many wore glittering accents.”
