A Tea Party with Mom
On Saturday, May 8 and Sunday, May 9, Lisa’s Tea Treasures (408-247-3613) will serve a special Mother’s Day tea service. Enjoy a Mimosa and your choice of vanilla floral or butter truffle tea, along with strawberry almond salad, chicken crepes, tea sandwiches, scone and dessert for $31.95 per person plus tax and gratuity. Carving Stations, Complimentary Mimosas and More…
Village California Bistro & Wine Bar (408-248-9091) presents their annual Mother’s Day Buffet Brunch. The lavish spread includes a carving station featuring Honey Baked Ham, Leg of Lamb and Prime Rib; a chilled seafood bar with Oysters on the Half Shell, Shrimp, California Ceviche and Smoked Salmon with traditional accompaniments; and breakfast favorites such as made-to-order omelets, Eggs Benedict and French Toast. The buffet will also include fresh fruit & juices, soups, pasta salads, grilled veggies, and a decadent dessert bar. $35 a person, plus tax and gratuity.
Treat Mom to an exotic Mother’s Day at Amber India (408-248-5400) which will feature cooking presentations of traditional street food from all over India such as bhatti (barbecue) stir fried noodles, dosa (savory crepes) and for a sweet ending… a gala dessert spread with contemporary & traditional Indian favorites. Specialty drinks such as Mimosas and Shikanji (Indian style lemonade) will be served. $24.95 per person for adults, $11.95 for children 4-8, plus tax and gratuity.
Left Bank (408-984-3500) will serving several special dishes, including Soupe de Mais (sweet corn soup with avocado cream and cilantro), Flètan d’Alaska (Pan-roasted Halibut, fingerling potatoes, fava beans, meyer lemons and savory crème fraiche), Ossobuco de Veau (center cut Veal ossobuco, saffron risotto, English peas and pea shoots) and Ravioli aux petit pois (sweet pea raviolis). Its sister restaurant, LB Steak (408-244-1180) will serve such a la carte specials as Goat Cheese and Mushroom Tart, Dungeness Crab Flan, Lobster Risotto and Prime Rib of Beef.
Roux Louisiana Kitchen (408-249-8000) will serve Mom a complimentary Mimosa, while over at Blowfish Sushi (408-345-3848), moms who order from their specialty menu will receive unlimited complimentary Mimosas with their meal!
In addition to Mimosas, Rosie McCann’s Irish Pub & Restaurant (408-247-1706) will serve delicious Peach Bellinis, Kir Royales, and Pint 'O Bloody Marys. Special brunch Items include Smoked Salmon, Crab Cake & Traditional Eggs Benedict, while dinner specials include Prime Rib, Roast Chicken with Rosemary Potatoes & Asparagus and Poached Salmon with Irish Butter.
And if you forget to give Mom flowers for her special day, Thea Mediterranean (408-260-1444) will present her with flowers as well as $5 Mimosas.
