Over four hundred growers produce apricots from orchards covering 21,000 acres in the San Joaquin Valley and northern California. About 95 percent of the apricots grown in the U.S. come from California.

Many different varieties grow in California, each with special characteristics. The most prevalent varieties are the Poppys, Pattersons, Blenheims, Tiltons, and Castlebrites.

Visit www.califapricot.com for more information on the different varieties. And visit the Information Booth at the market to pick up the brochure “Stone Fruit” and gather up some great apricot recipes.

Remember the Santana Row Farmers’ Market is bustling every Sunday, rain or shine, near Park Valencia from 11am-3pm year-round.  Come out and visit us!
