Hard Work = Time to Have Fun & De-Stress
Hello Everyone!
Last week was such an event-filled experience for me. I had a lot to do and so little time to do it! However, no matter how hard I work I always find time to have some fun and de-stress. The numerous restaurants and nightlife hotspots around Santana Row make working here even more fun because you get to have some quality time to hang out with your coworkers after your shift is up, and you get to know them on a more personal level.
When you work with someone, you tend to get into a pattern of saying hello and goodbye every morning and evening, and throwing around tasks here and there without even thinking of the way it may or may not affect one another. When you sit down after work, have some drinks, and just have some fun, you tend to personify with the ones you work with and realize there is a lot more to your work life than just work.
I feel like both of my jobs at Santana Row include me in a “Corporate Family”, if you will. My coworkers from Eli Thomas and those from Federal Realty have connections with one another, and there are so many familiar faces and personalities to recognize and build professional relationships with.
One dear coworker recently left Federal Realty in order to travel the world and experience new destinations and gain new memories. Her name is Pat Henger, and she was our Legal Consultant here at Federal. She was always smiling, and had something quirky to say. She brightened every ones day in the office, and we are so proud to see her get out and experience everything she has planned in the coming year. Good luck Pat!
As for myself, I have realized that work is not just something you do, it is something you must learn to grow with and view as a functional way of creating a meaningful life. I for one can say I love my jobs, and I now realize why people are always striving for something they love to do, because it makes it that much better to get up in the morning, have your coffee, see some familiar faces, and do work that makes you feel good!
Have a productive week! See you next time!
Sean

What if you think for not getting stressed instead of first being stressed and then look out for methods of de-stressing. I think cardio-vascular exercises like walking, jogging, cycling for 20 minutes a day and five times a week will not let you enter in stressing mode. Also, change your food habits if you are fond of junk food; it also matters most for swinging mood. Try milk, red meat, eggs, chicken and fish. Also listen to your favorite music. Thanks.
