If you’re still looking for that perfect spot for a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner with your honey, we have 12 ideas for you, courtesy of 12 of our restaurants! Grab a napkin, because your mouth with water when you read this list of scrumptious prix fixe menus, chef’s specials, and delectable desserts made especially for lovers.
Amber India (408-248-5400), arguably one of the best Indian restaurants in the Bay Area, is serving a five-course prix fixe dinner for $60 that includes such dishes as Fennel-scented White Asparagus Soup and Scallop & Prawn Shammi.
Hotel Valencia’s chic Citrus Restaurant (408-423-5405) has a five-course prix fixe dinner for $100 per person with seatings at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Consuelo Mexican Bistro (408-260-7082) is doing Valentine’s Day south of-the-border style with a special dish called “Love to Share Fajitas” served in a clay pot, with rice, beans and glasses of Champagne for $35.
Talk about decadent! LB Steak (408-244-0464) is serving several special a la carte dishes including Champagne-poached Oysters, Fois Gras Mousse and Banana Souffle Glacee.
Ooh la la! Left Bank Brasserie’s (408-984-3500) four-course, $45 prix fixe menu includes an entrée choice of Butter-poached Maine Lobster Tail with Wild Mushroom Risotto or Blackened Vanilla Duck Breast & Leg Confit. Another tip: the French bistro serving a special Aphrodisiac Menu from February 8-14.
The cody and sweet Lisa’s Tea Treasures (408-247-3613) presents its annual Valentine’s Day Candlelight Tea includes tea, scones, choice of soup or salad, cherub tea sandwiches, raspberry pastries and chocolate cream puffs for $26.50 per person. Call for available seatings.
DEAL ALERT! Pasta Pomodoro (408-241-2200) is offering a special menu priced at $49… per COUPLE! Dishes include Polenta Farcita (polenta with fontina, spinach, brown butter and sage), Salmone Capperi (grilled King Salmon with caper sauce), and Soufflé al Cioccolato (warm chocolate soufflé cake with chocolate sauce).
Rosie McCann’s (408-247-1706) has two prix fixe menus priced at $40 and $50 per person and will serve you each a complimentary glass of Champagne.
The festive homage to New Orleans, Roux Louisiana Kitchen (408-249-8000), will offer various chef’s specials as well as $20 bottles of Champagne.
Sino Restaurant (408-247-8880) will become a lovers’ paradise, with balloons and fresh flowers and floating candles on every table. Romantic movies such as “Sleepless in Seattle” will be shown on the screen in the dining room and every guest will receive a complimentary chocolate covered strawberry.
Enjoy the romantic ambiance of Thea Mediterranean (408-260-1444) while you and your sweetheart sip complimentary glasses of Prosecco and are serenaded by live singers and an accordionist.
And last but not least, the seafood mecca Yankee Pier (408-244-1244) is featuring a Chef’s Raw Platter for Two with Dungeness Crab Legs, Oysters, Shrimp, Cherrystone Clams and market fresh Ceviche. YUM!
