I am looking forward to the Oscars on Sunday, February 22, 2009. This will be the best Academy Awards in years. Not so much for the BIG show (although the fashion is always a main event), but for the nominated movies (what a concept). There are some amazing movies out this year, and I have been on a mission to see most of them. I wish I could fit in one more. I still haven't seen Rachel's Getting Married

Here is a list of my top 10 movie favorites for 2008-2009 in numerical order:
1. Slum Dog Millonaire
2. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
3. The Secret Life of Bees
4. MILK
5. Revolutionary Road
6. The Reader
7. Frost/Nixon
8. Doubt
9. Australia
10. Hotel 4 Dogs (OK, so I do see some cute movies with my kids. I liked Beverly Hills Chawawa, too!)
We haven't decided what movie we will see in March, but I hope it will be light hearted and funny. We need to laugh a bit after this deep and serious content of the fall/winter films of 2008-2009. It will be good at The Row too, because we will see the beginning of spring and that is always fun to go to a restaurant outside before we head to the show. Nothing better than that time of year!
