When I was in High School

When I was in high school, getting lucky meant I didn’t have to endure the terrible acne years.  It wasn’t until I hit my twenties that acne struck.  My dermatologist will tell you I tried everything.  Antibiotics, Sea Breeze, Clearasil, as well as the doctor’s-office-only regimes.  For years, I always had a blemish spot on my face.  Then, thank goodness, Aveda came out with a line of skin care for acne-prone skin types, called Outer Peace.  I used it faithfully till the acne cleared up and now have graduated to Aveda’s skin care system for anti-aging.  But nothing makes me feel better than looking at my skin and feeling confident about it.

I think that must be the hardest thing about being a teenager with acne.  Not having the confidence to put their best face forward.  They don’t have to live with it.  You’d do anything for your kids-you help them deal with their schoolwork-now help them with their “skinwork”.  Mention this online blog before May 31st and get $20 off an Outer Peace Acne Therapy facial at Atelier AVEDA Salon & Spa, and 10% off the Outer Peace home care system.  Let them put their best face forward as they go into the next school year!
