What started off as a desire to just get out and see some movies has turned into an evening of great conversation, mommy bonding and intense movie euphoria. This year,  2008 I decided to start a “Movie Moms Night Out @ The Row”.

What a great way to kick-off our movie club, but the movie was a bit of a bust. Star studded cast: Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Eva Mendes, Debra Messing, Jada Pinkett Smith, Candice Bergen and many others, but the script was weak and didn’t have much depth.

Wow this is a great film! We laughed, we cried, we became very attached to the characters. Many times when a movie is created from a book the book is usually much better, but not the case with The Secret Life of Bees.

This movie truly is an epic film. I actually will call it brain candy. It stimulated the brain, but all extra calories and worth every bite. Our group loved the cinematography, and the acting was pretty good.

Is Kate Winslet the new IT girl? She has EXPLODED this year with an amazing acting range and talent. I think our entire movie club would probably say that we would see any of her films.
