Moody and romantic is the phrase I like to best describe fall 2016 fashion. Victorian Goth inspired details like lush velvet, statement jewels and metallic sheens all have me excited to shop for the coming holiday party months. Thus looking to create an stylish shopping list, I have partnered with Santana Row and created an easy fall 2016 guide that I hope helps you too!
Whenever a new season starts I always like to shop for one to two key investment pieces. In other words, something that can carry me through the whole season, which can also be mixed and matched either as a statement or staple item. This season the velvet trend is providing a plethora of options to pick from for statement pieces. Consider a darling velvet shoe. Whether a loafer or heel, Kate Spade has some sweet options. I am loving its twist on the ballet flat that comes in both pink and black with an adorable glitter block heel. The choker trend from summer is not going anywhere, so transition it to fall with some velvet options. Shop for chokers with a larger width and embellished with jewels. Urban Outfitters has some great options ranging from delicate to dramatic. You can't go wrong with a designer purse and Gucci came out with some velvet stunners for fall in jewel tones and mini bag options. If wardrobe staples are more your pace, everyone needs a LBD and coat a for fall. Transitioning the summer off-the shoulder look into the coming season, pieces have been tweaked to one-shoulder and a LDB is the perfect way to embrace this. Madewell has a simple in silk one-shoulder LBD that is ideal for day to night looks. (Yes, velvet is a tempting and do-able option here, but a one shoulder pretty is a great alternative to all that velvet. Don't go overboard!). The timeless overcoat is making a resurgence this fall. Minimal or oversized, consider adding some en trend brooches and or pins. Scotch & Soda has a pink and navy coat option. Santana Row's newest addition, Marine Layer has super fun pins that will give the polished piece a hint of chic. Happy Shopping!
